The health plan sponsored by the IBT is offered thru CalPERS and therefore requires that your employer be a contracting agency by way of a PEHMCA participation agreement. If you are an actively at work employee, please see your human resources (HR) or personnel department to confirm PEHMCA participation and obtain health plan option information. If you are a retiree desiring to enroll in the Anthem Blue Cross health plan sponsored by the IBT, you must first make sure your prior employer is PEHMCA approved and that you meet the eligibility requirements as set forth by the Eligibility Policy.
