Trustee Garcia represents Region III (Tri-Counties, Los Angeles North and Los Angeles South Chapters). Trustee Garcia began his law enforcement career in 2004 when he was hired by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department as a public safety dispatcher. In 2006 he was hired as a police officer with the Oxnard Police Department. Trustee Garcia worked as a patrol officer for several years and was promoted to detective in 2009. His assignments included investigating robberies, homicides, along with participating in an FBI gang task force. Trustee Garcia is currently the treasurer for the PORAC Tri-Counties Chapter and Oxnard Peace Officers Foundation. He was elected to the Insurance and Benefits Trust of PORAC in September 2018. In November 2021, he was elected Treasurer to the Insurance and Benefits Trust of PORAC.
