CalPERS Open Enrollment Runs September 14th through October 9th
The Insurance & Benefits Trust of PORAC remains dedicated to serving over 26,000 members and their families by providing high-quality coverage at an affordable rate. Looking ahead, the 2027 Police & Fire Health Plan and Universal Health Plan rates will stay highly competitive, frequently beating standard HMO plan costs to deliver outstanding financial value to public safety professionals.
If members are interested in making the switch or re-enrolling, open enrollment is the primary window to make updates to coverage. The 2026 open enrollment is scheduled to run from September 14 through October 9, 2026.
We encourage PORAC members to compare local provider rates in their area against the Police & Fire Health Plan and Universal Health Plan rates. Members will find the IBT sponsored plans continue to deliver exceptional value and dedication to their well-being and health.
